Claims have surfaced that global superstar Bad Bunny chartered a Qantas Airbus A380 ahead of his concerts in Australia.
According to data from Flightradar24, the aircraft registered VH-OQA operated flight QF6043 from Sydney to São Paulo on Sunday. The approximately 15-hour nonstop flight was not part of Qantas’ scheduled commercial services. The timing of the flight followed the artist’s performance in Brazil.
After remaining on the ground in São Paulo for around six hours, the aircraft departed as QF308 to Auckland, before returning to Sydney following a short stop in New Zealand.
Aviation outlet Analytic Flying noted that although the A380 was initially expected to operate via Auckland, it flew directly between GRU and SYD, suggesting the payload may have been lighter than anticipated.
Qantas confirmed that the Sydney–São Paulo flights were non-scheduled charter operations but declined to disclose the client. The airline does not normally operate direct services to Brazil, instead offering connections via Santiago in partnership with another carrier.
➡️ Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, the Puerto Rican artist was named Spotify’s most-streamed global artist for the fourth time in 2025 and recently performed at the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month.
So did he charter the jet? Officially, there’s no confirmation. But the timing, routing, and scale of the operation have definitely fueled speculation.
